Affordable Website Design Company

Discuss on ooVoo

As a Website Designer in St. Cloud Minnesota and Minneapolis, I've approached many business that need Web Design Services. Some need new websites while others need redesigns or what we call "Website Make-Over".

Benefits of having a New Website and Redesigning your old Website .

Many times, a Web Redesign is just as important as designing a website itself. This is mainly because of the fact that once you design your website, over the passage of time, the concept and look of the website looks old when compared to other websites. So instead of considering starting a new website, you can create the same response and visitors to your website with a simple Website Redesign.

You can tell if your site requires a website redesign if you first look at it as a visitor and not as its owner. This way, you find out some disadvantages and improvements that have to be done to the website. Sometimes, you have to update your website's information so that it can compete with other websites. Thus, a Website Re Design proves to be an important factor.

Your Web Redesign should make your website more attractive

When you upgrade your website, make sure it becomes more eye catching to visitors with a compelling layout design. You have to use interesting and relevant graphics, images, fonts and colors in the website to make it as compelling to the eyes of the visitor as possible. This will ensure that you give some competition to the other websites on the internet.

Your Web Site Re Design should include all the factors that you wanted to include in the original web design, but could not do so. Make sure your homepage has all the necessary information that will entice the visitor to browse the other pages of your website. Take a look at your original web design to spot out the flaws and difficulties a surfer went through to access the other pages of the website. This will give you ideas to incorporate in your Redesigning Web.

Make your web page more navigable with a Professional Web Design expert

Make sure you have manageable links placed in the Web Redesign by having a navigational menu that is easily visible to the visitor. Difficult to find links make visitors irritated while surfing your website as they will not be able to access the information they were looking for in your website. Thus, redesign your website to organize its information in an appropriate manner so that all these problems are taken care of and so that visitors find it easy to navigate the different pages of the website.

Of course, you get the best inspiration for your website redesign by looking at the different websites of your competitors. Aim to be ahead of your competitors with the latest in graphics and fonts used in the website. Remember that websites more than 1.5 to 2 years were created using old technology. It is only with a website redesign that you will be able to complete with your rivals.

Hence, it can be seen that a website redesign is very important to improve the profitability of your business by increasing traffic to your site. More visitors mean more sales. Moreover, a Web Redesign adds professionalism to your website that will be viewed by millions of visitors worldwide. So if you are in the St. Cloud, MN area or Minneapolis, feel free to contact us for your web design needs. Website Designers are many, but few can deliver what you need. We like to consider ourselves among the few.

lord of the flies- Stephen King

Discuss on ooVoo

We have crossed a threshold recently, where, when a group of families get together, our kids are old enough to be able to join the fray unattended. This in turn, signifies another new beginning: the dawn of adult conversation. It’s awesome. A huge relief. We sit and talk, drinking wine. The kids race around various apartments and houses and backyards, forming their own governments. But it does come with a teeny bit of anxiety, when I see the parade of maniac children race by, wondering which one’s going to be the first ritual sacrifice. And of course, praying it’s not mine. Lately, the words Lord Of The Flies seem to come up at almost every party. Lord of the Flies has become universal language for Chaotic Sadistic Government Run by Children. I can’t remember the original story. I remember there was a bad kid named Piggy and a bunch of fires and murders, and I loved/hated it when I read it as a kid…and have no desire to revisit it as a parent. Because some version of that nightmare flashes through my mind every time my kid comes home from a party or a playdate with a dramatic tale of how he got stepped on or smashed (and/or I find out that he’s done some smashing himself). It’s a tiny version, but a scary one nonetheless. Funny how freedom can quickly turn into a parent’s nightmare.

Fix for iPhone Alarm Glitch

Discuss on ooVoo

iPhone Alarm GlitchI'm sure you've heard by now - or you were late to work this morning. There's a bug in Apple's iOS 4 software that's preventing alarms from ringing in 2011.

Happy new year, right? The fix, however, is simple. All you need to do is set the alarm as recurring.

So instead of a daily alarm set for 6:45, set the alarm for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 6:45. Even if you just set it for Monday, Tuesday or Tuesday, Wednesday, that would do it too. It's just the single alarm that is not working.

Apple did say that the problem will auto-correct itself on Monday, but many people have found out that's not exactly the case. So until there's a software fix or something more substantial, setting your alarm as recurring is all you should need to do to get up on time tomorrow.

Now get up and work on your dreams- make them reality. Have a happy week.

Suspended MTA Service in New York Affects Fashion

Discuss on ooVoo

The MTA was suspended due to snowdrifts and switch problems in several locations on Sunday. The railroad remains suspended system-wide in both directions and will continue until “safe and reliable service” can be restored. Being one of the fashion capitals of the world, I wonder what impact this suspension will have on the fashion industry considering the fact that most people in New York use the public system for transportation. This will probably cause a domino effect that will be felt by the rest of the world- sooner or later. In the form of delays in submissions for the upcoming seasons or rushing designs to meet deadlines...the list is endless. Let's wait and see what happens I guess.

Tron Legacy- Care to Watch?

Discuss on ooVoo

Tron Legacy is about Sam Flynn (Hedlund), a rebellious 27-year-old, is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Bridges), a man once known as the world's leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the old Flynn's Arcade -- a signal that could only come from his father-- he finds himself pulled into a digital world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra (Wilde), father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a cyber universe -- a universe created by Kevin himself that has become far more advanced with vehicles, weapons, landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.

The original Tron movie was released in 1982, about a hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn who is digitally broken down into a data stream by a villainous software pirate known as the Master Control and reconstituted into the internal, 3-D graphical world of computers. It is there, in the ultimate blazingly colorful, geometrically intense landscapes of cyberspace, that Flynn joins forces with Tron to outmaneuver the Master Control program that holds them captive in the equivalent of a gigantic, infinitely challenging computer game.

I wonder how many of you out there are planning on going to see Tron Legacy when it comes out this coming weekend.

The Mercedes-Benz BIOME concept car

Discuss on ooVoo

The Los Angeles Design Challenge always brings some crazy idea, but this year one in particular caught our attention: The Mercedes-Benz BIOME concept car. It's an eco-friendly, biodegradable, ultra-light hybrid vehicle—which would be custom grown in a lab.

The folks behind the concept explain that the various parts of the vehicle would be grown separately:

The interior of the BIOME grows from the DNA in the Mercedes star on the front of the vehicle, while the exterior grows from the star on the rear. To accommodate specific customer requirements, the Mercedes star is genetically engineered in each case, and the vehicle grows when the genetic code is combined with the seed capsule. The wheels are grown from four separate seeds.
And apparently instead of running on regular fuel, the BIOME would run on a mysterious substance called "BioNectar4534" which leaves no by-product other than oxygen.

Yes, it's an insane idea and sounds damn near impossible. But that won't stop any of us from daydreaming about zipping around in a sleek, lab-grown car, now will it?
